2015年6月3日，在M6国际会议主席刘长青教授的邀请下，乘机前往英国拉夫堡参加第四届多功能微型化器件先进制造国际会议。此次国际会议由英国拉夫堡大学、中国华中科技大学、日本先进应用技术研究所AIST和德国凯瑟斯劳滕应用技术大学主办，英国拉夫堡大学研究生承办，邀请到6个国家或地区50余位与会人员参与。参加此次会议的中国代表包括华中科技大学生命学院杨光教授及杨光教授课题组博士后石志军博士，博士生肖林、陈秀丽、李莹、黄亚佳、刘莉、黄丽霞、兰博尼以及硕士生李思祥等，以及材料学院张祥林教授、吴丰顺教授、吴懿平教授和夏卫生博士。会议期间，与会代表就多功能微型化器件先进制造所涉及的材料表征和测试、关键工艺的优化以及可制造性和相关可靠性等关键问题进行了深入讨论与交流，分别从材料学，生物学以及电子封装制造和工艺等方面就相关基础原理性的新发现和新突破做了报告。
