On May 11, 2010, professor Adi Eisenberg, who is a Royal Canadian Academy of Sciences, and a professor in McGill University, visited Huazhong University of Science and Technology again. Professor gave a lecture of Two Recent Advances in Vesicle Research: Breathing Vesicles and “Kippah” Vesicles in College of Life Science and Technology.

        In the lecture, professor Adi Eisenberg introduced his research work. In a lively atmosphere, participated teachers and students Actively to ask questions, and professor patient to answer their questions

            Adi Eisenberg is recognized internationally as one of the greatest physical polymer chemists and a pioneer in the important field of ion-containing polymers. His ingenious approach has provided insightful knowledge to various aspects of polymer science, in particular to the morphology and mechanical properties of ionomers of various architectures and polymer blends with ionomers.

           Adi Eisenberg was born in Breslau, He pursued his graduate study at Princeton University, receiving an M.Sc. in 1959 and a Ph.D. in 1960, In 1962, as an assistant professor, Adi Eisenberg established his laboratory at the University of California, Los Angeles. In 1967, Adi Eisenberg moved to McGill University in Montreal, Canada, as an associate professor in chemistry. He was promoted to full professor in 1975 and currently holds the positions of Otto Maas Professor of Chemistry and director of “Polymer McGill” at McGill University. Since October of 2007 he was employed as Huazhong University of Science and Technology’s Advisory Professor
